T- VTR 4 Series Turbo Bearing Assembly belongs to the T- ABB / T- VTR series of exhaust gas turbochargers. The T- ABB / T- VTR series marine turbocharger is created for two-stroke, low-speed and four-stroke, medium-speed heavy-duty diesel engines. The engine power output is from 700 kW to 18,500 kW per turbocharger. T-VTR series turbocharger has been widely applied to marine propulsion engines (esp. at part load), stationary power plants and units burning heavy oil and in continuous operation. The T-VTR series turbocharges is consisted of single-stage axial turbines and radial compressors.

The T-VTR 4 series is capable of high pressure-charging, the pressure ratio from 3.7 even to 4.2.
Uncooled gas casings are available which can be an alternative to water-cooled gas casing.
The rotor runs in spring-mounted roling-contact bearings, and each bearing has its own lubrication system and oil cooling system.
The rotor shaft can be removed in four easy steps without disconnect any air, gas or water pipes.
The T-VTR series is modular type of design, which ensures the turbine baldes, nozzle rings, comperssor wheels and diffusers with various casing configurations to be optimum matched with all engine types.
The T-VTR series turbochargers are widely used in marine propulsion engines, especially at part load, and in stationary power plants, on units burning heavy oil and in continuous operation.

The marine turbocharger, also known as exhaust gas turbocharger, is the main equipment in the diesel engine boosting system. It consists of a single-stage exhaust gas turbine and a centrifugal compressor. They are mounted on the same shaft to form the moving part of the marine turbocharger/exhaust gas turbocharger - the rotor. The function of the marine turbocharger/exhaust gas turbocharger is to use the diesel exhaust energy to drive the turbine to drive the compressor on the coaxial to increase the air pressure into the cylinder, so that the diesel engine power is greatly improved. The exhaust turbocharger approximately doubles the power of the diesel engine, but its weight is only increased 10%.
