T- Mitsubishi / T- MET series turbochargers features:

T- MET series turbocharger turbine blade belongs to the part of T- Mitsubishi / T- MET series turbochargers and which has the features as below:

  • Since the 1965 until now, T- MET Series exhaust gas turbochargers has developed many series to meet the market demands, it includes the Axial type and Radial type of turbochargers.
  • The bearing is designed on the inner side of the impeller and turbine blade;
  • The Rotor is supported by a pedestal with less thermal deformation;
  • Bearing pedestal has an integrated head tank, by which the lubrication oil is continuously supplied even after than emergency shut down of the engine;
  • Simple and compact design of T- MET Series turbocharger make it long service lifetime and high reliability;
  • T- MET Series turbochargers is mounted low noise silencer to reduce the noise and make it environmentally friendly when the engine is running;
  • T- MET series turbochargers are widely used in marine and stationary engines.

The function of turbine blades:

Turbine blades are an important component of the turbine section of a diesel or gas powered engine. The blades that rotate at high speed are responsible for drawing high temperature and high pressure air into the combustor so that to maintain the engine's operation. In order to ensure long-term stability in extreme environments of high temperature and high pressure, turbine blades are often forged with high-temperature alloys and used in different ways to cool, for example, internal airflow cooling, boundary layer cooling, or thermal barrier coatings that protect the blades, to guarantee the reliability of turbine blades during turbocharger's operation.
