T- NR12/S turbocharger diffuser is one part for T- MAN / T- NR series turbochargers, which were designed comparatively simply with a cast radial turbine.
The turbine is driven by the engine exhaust gas, which enters via the gas inlet casing. The gas expands through a nozzle ring where the pressure energy of the gas is converted to kinetic energy. This high velocity gas is directed onto the turbine blades where it drives the turbine wheel, and thus the compressor at high speeds (10 -15000 rpm).
T- NR series turbocharger is widely used in ship building, locomotive, land power station and petroleum drilling industries, extensively applicable to in-land and coastal transportation and fishing due to its high efficiency, small size, light weight, favorable maintainability and serviceability, adequate supply of spare parts.
